CIS Case Investigation System is split into easily controlled modules to allow different sections of a case investigation to be completed by a number of different users in different areas of each investigation.

CIS uses a target system and 4 milestones to categorise cases by priority and type. When a case is created the user enters the type and priority which sets the milestone completion target dates.

The user records the time it takes to complete both "work" and "wait" activities during the investigation in each milestone.
